Sunday 5th April saw a special event take place in Fernhurst, with a celebration of the centenary of the club and a celebration of the live of our former club secretary. We played a Brighton Select XI including manyhousehold names from past Portsmouth teams. Over 400 people came to join in the celebrations. The event was desigend to raise money for the Marie Curie Cancer Fund, and the Sussex FA Benevolent Fund, and we managed to raisenearly £600 for these worthwhile causes.

Fernhurst Sports FC first team plays in the Covers West Sussex league division 2 South having been promoted in the previous two seasons. We have a good group of players who are playing attractive football, unfortunately this means that we can come unstuck against certain teams. Manager Trevor Ford believes that this group of players is one of the best he has managed in many years, and is very hopeful of future success with this group of players. 1st team captain is Dave Williams who has been associated with the club for many years now.
