Fernhurst Sports FC 8: Pulborough Reserves 0
Fernhurst Sports cruised to the next round of the cup, with a breath-taking display against Pulborough, with the odds stacked against Fernhurst, playing a team from the league above, they showed true quality and that they're true promotion challengers.
Pulborough looked lost from the start giving away a freekick in the first 30 seconds, Fernhurst raised there game and opened the scoring, with a well taken goal from Dave Williams, goals quickely follwed from James Bristow (2), Dave George, and 4 goals from our top scorer, Stuart Clark.
At times the football flowed more than in many Premiership games, Fernhurst making the most of Pulborough's indecision. Pulborough also started pressing the self-destruct button by complaining against every descion the referee made. They ended the game with 9 men on the pitch, with 2 being sent off for high tackles and verbal abuse. This took the shine off a highly impressive victory by Fernhurst, who have now scored 27 goals in six games, losing their first cup game, but unbeaten now 5. |
