The club celebrated the 50 years the club secretary - Gerald Puttick - had been involved in football. Despite never playing for the club, Gerald held many management posts in the club, and is probably best remembered as the club secretary. To mark this momentus occasion, the club organised a surprise party for Gerald at the Wheatsheaf pub in Midhurst to which players from the last five decades were invited. Gerald was presented with a silver salver by club chairman, Roger Mountain.
