The Trustees of the Fernhurst Recreation Ground have started a project to renew, improve and extend the sports facilities provided to the village.
This project will provide new sports facilities for tennis and bowls, and a new pavilion with state-of-the-art changing rooms and a new and enlarged club room.

To accommodate this project, the football club will lose their top football pitch. The notorious Fernhurst 'swamp' will be transformed with a level, well-drained pitch, approximately where the current second pitch is situated.

The project, is as you would expect, an expensive one, and the Trustees are busy fund raising for the project, from generous private donations and from various grant bodies. Chichester District Council also fully support this project, and view it as a flagship sports and community project for the next
few years.
The football club is supporting the efforts of the Trustees and the Sports Club through fund-rasing events, administration and flexibility in its approach to the forthcoming seasons.
If you want more information about the project, or wish to help in any form, please contact anyone at the football or sports club, or any of the Trustees directly.
